Discovery
Clarity Discovery automates the identification of discrepancies between the network and the inventory database to maximize accuracy in data and process execution. It is used for both initial inventory population and for ongoing audit and reconciliation on any IP or non-IP networks. It supports discovery of physical and logical inventory through network sweeps and external sources of network configuration data.
Highlights
- Sweeps networks to auto-discover existing, new or removed infrastructure elements such as routers, switches and servers through monitoring of NMS, EMS and NEs through the Element Connect interface
- Auto discovers physical and logical configuration of network elements such as chassis, cards, ports and interfaces, links and VPNs
- Identifies and reports on discrepancies between the discovered and recorded inventory
